ELSA’S HOT COCOA WILL WARM YOUR HEART

Christmas is undeniably one of the most beautiful times of the year, so why not have a pretty treat to go with it? Elsa’s Hot Cocoa inspired by Disney’s Frozen, complete with marbled snowflake marshmallows, is the perfect drink to have by the glow of your festive lights at home – and it’s delicious and made for Instagram!


Elsa’s Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

  • 230 grams frozen whipped topping
  • Blue food colouring
  • Snowflake cookie cutter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup water
  • 5-6 cups milk
  • 1 cup chopped white chocolate
  • Toothpicks

Notes:

All cutting and use of cooking appliances should be done by an adult.


Directions:

1. For the marshmallows, mix the whipped topping and water in a large bowl.

2. Place wax paper over a 9-inch round pan.

3. Pour the mix into the pan and tap to even out.

4. Add 8-10 drops of blue food coloring evenly around the pan, then use a toothpick to create a marbled pattern.

5. Freeze for at least 4 hours.

6. Use a snowflake cookie cutter to cut out marshmallows.

7. Drop into the cocoa and watch it melt and swirl!

8. For the cocoa, put the milk into a sauce pan with the vanilla and white chocolate.

9. Keep the stove on low and keep stirring to melt the chocolate.

10. Once the mixture is completely melted and mixed together, pour into mugs.

11. Use blue food colouring to make them icy blue!
